Who is the GREATEST PROPHET?

"Do not be deceived...WAKE UP! At the end of this age...even the elect in the 'church' will be DECEIVED!" My Friend...those were Jesus' words, not mine!

  • Matthew 24:23 "Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the Messiah', or 'There he is,' don't pay any attention. For false messiahs and false prophets [preachers] will rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible [yes it is possible!], even God's chosen ones [those people professing to be followers of Christ]. See, I [Christ] have warned you."

Friend there is only one way that you will NOT be deceived during the times to come...and that is by having a very PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TRUE CHRIST!!! Therefore you PERSONALLY have to KNOW the TRUE SPIRIT OF CHRIST and HIS WORD! Friend, today's Lukewarm Western Churchianity has moved so far AWAY from THE TRUE GOSPEL that it is necessary for all of us that grew up INSIDE the PROSTITUTE, to get delivered OUT OF HER, so that we can get BACK TO THE PURE GOSPEL! IF YOU THINK THAT YOU CANNOT BE DECEIVED...then you are in serious trouble. And, if you are looking at other people...especially your pastor and denomination to keep you from being deceived, then you are really in very great DANGER!

I just feel lead to share 2 more articles with you, just to make you realize HOW FAR TODAY'S WESTERN CHRISTIANDOM has moved away from THE TRUE GOSPEL as being preached by Jesus Himself.

My dear Friend, my heart's desire is to present you to God PERFECT IN YOUR FAITH! MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON ALL OF US as we permit Him to draw us CLOSER TO THE TRUE CHRIST!

Amen

WHO IS the GREATEST PROPHET? -by S. Hill.

Would that be Ezekiel due to the intensity of his visions? Would that be Isaiah due to the accuracy of his revelation of Jesus? Would that be Daniel due to his wisdom and ability to interpret dreams that kept him at the power centers of two world empires? Would that be Enoch who had such a powerful encounter with God that he literally was not here anymore?

According to Jesus the greatest prophet was John the Baptist who came preaching "repentance for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand". So far as we know John never had a vision, dream or angelic encounter. Yet Jesus called him the greatest prophet!

How many prophets do you know who are preaching repentance?

It is difficult for them to preach repentance from the practice of casual divorce and remarriage since such would close "ministry doors" to them and offend folks who pay for their conferences and buy their books. But Jesus did so in Matthew 19:9!

It is difficult for them to preach repentance from selling the gospel and making merchandise of the people of God since most have embraced the same values. But in Matthew 10:8 Jesus commanded us to freely give as we have freely received. In II Corinthians 11:5- 21 Paul said that the difference between the true and the false was not in message, anointing or gifting but in how they related to the people and money!

It is difficult to for them to preach repentance from self promotion, the love of position and title since most have embraced celebrity status but Jesus did so in Matthew 23:1- 12.

It is difficult for them to preach repentance from seeking special experiences and angelic encounters since those experiences are their tickets to "prophetic" status in a world that values experiences above obedience. But Paul did so in Colossians 2:18- 19.

You cannot preach repentance from inside the camp! You support the camp. You can only preach repentance from outside. The court prophets support the court. The prophets from the wilderness are free to preach repentance. That is why Hebrew 13:13 calls us to follow Jesus outside the camp. Jesus said that "the pure in heart shall see God". The result of true repentance should be a pure heart to see God.

Once you see God the claims for revelation from the prophets will literally be seen in a different light. Once you see God all dreams, visions and words will take their proper place. That some talk about third heaven experiences as casually as a trip to Pizza Hut and claim to be able to teach others how to have them, shows that they have never been farther than their own imaginations.
Maybe the fascination of the general church world with the supernatural experiences, dreams, revelations is simply because few of them have ever seen God? Maybe we put prophets in a wrong place because we do not have God in the right place?

Maybe we would be less fascinated with "supernatural experiences" if we understood the vision of God that Jesus presented to us? Yes, He came to show us the Father but He also said that if we served the least, we served Him. He placed the face of God on every suffering child. The pure in heart will see God and when they do the whole religious game of status, money, recognition, book sales and numbers will fade away. They will see God and they will see His face as the face of human need and they will serve.

Jesus is the greatest Prophet! Hear Him!

Day 87, 1 Corinthians 5

Why didn't Paul instruct the Corinthian believers to follow Jesus' three steps of church discipline---which we read in Matthew 18---regarding the man in their midst who was living in a sexual relationship with his stepmother? The reason is because those are three steps that are to be taken with believers, but Paul rightfully judged that this perverted man was not a true believer. Paul had previously instructed the Corinthians "not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler-not even to eat with such a one" (5:11).

Those who claim to be believers in Christ who are sexually immoral are not believers at all. This is also true for professing believers who are covetous, idolatrous, drunks and cheats. We will read in the very next chapter of Corinthians: Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9-10). Paul warned, "Do not be deceived."

How tragic it is that so many within evangelical Christianity have believed the lie that such people can be classed as "carnal Christians," fully saved but walking after the flesh, indistinguishable from unbelievers. The Corinthians had adopted a similar attitude, accepting the immoral man's profession of faith as being genuine, proud of their tolerance, when they should have been mourning that they had permitted such a blight in Christ's body (5:2). It is obvious that this immoral man was not a true Christian. Paul referred to him as being guilty of immorality "of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles" (5:1), as "a so-called brother" (5:11), as one who was worthy to be excommunicated and delivered to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, as a man who was not currently saved (5:5), and as a "wicked man" (5:13).

Without apology, Paul stated that he had already "judged" the immoral man (5:3). Obviously, there is nothing wrong with making such judgments. In fact, there is everything right about them. Paul unequivocally stated that those within the church have an obligation to judge those within the church (5:12). What a refreshing balance this brings to the common misunderstanding regarding passing judgment on others. Jesus' prohibition against passing judgment revolved around finding faults with others by those who possess greater faults (Matt. 7:1-5).

But moral people in the church have every right to judge immoral people within their midst.the church of Jesus Christ is supposed to be a holy, self-cleansing body. And the responsibility for that self-cleansing does not just fall on the shoulders of pastors. Paul wasn't writing just to pastors. He was writing to the entire body in Corinth. We should all be devoted to keeping Christ's church a light that shines in the world's darkness, pure and holy, obedient to our Lord.

This most basic quality of the church is virtually impossible to attain within common modern church structure, where the church is a group of people who know very little about each other and who gather for a weekly production under the leadership of a pastor who knows very little about them.

The body of Christ cannot remain pure before the world apart from biblical churches that are small, where people actually know each other. By excommunicating the immoral man in Corinth, the Corinthian believers sent a message to the watching world: "If you want to be one of us, you must be sexually pure." They additionally sent a message to the immoral man: "We do not accept your profession of faith in the Lord Jesus as genuine. However, we do not excommunicate out of hatred, but rather out of love, hoping our actions will wake you from your self-deception so that you may repent, be truly born again, and be 'saved in the day of the Lord Jesus'" (5:5). Apparently, the Corinthian believers formally delivered the immoral man "to Satan for the destruction of his flesh" (5:5). Finding himself ill and perhaps even dying, hopefully he would be saved. Serious stuff indeed!

My "GOD GIVEN RESPONSIBILITY is to equip God's people to do His work, and build up HIS CHURCH, the BODY OF CHRIST, until...we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.
